| Gas
Scrubber operates on the principle of
Absorption (Mass Transfer) and counter current
flow. |
| The
Scrubber consists of : |
 |
| Scrubbing
medium, a Tank at the bottom, Floating bed
of Packing normally Pallrings, Recirculation
spray set, Scrubber Inlet, Mist Eliminators
and Gas Outlet. |
| A
Pump is connected to the scrubbing medium
tank at the bottom and the Recirculation
Spray piping at the top. |
| The
pollutant gas is fed at the bottom and is
forced through the packing and spray while
the medium which absorbs the pollutant,
comes down against the flow of the pollutant
gas after scrubbing, increasing in its concentration. |
| Continuous
liquid supply exists in order to achieve
maximum efficiency of the Scrubber. The
Scrubber outlet is connected to a Blower
which creates the necessary negative pressure,
the flow rate (cmh / cfm) of which is determined
by the System design. |
| The
Material of construction of the Scrubber
is dependent on the type of pollutant like
Galvanized M.S., PP FRP or MS lined with
FRP etc., |
